Run for Dad

Run For Dad.

Sadly, my dad passed away the day before Father's day last year. I miss him every day.
I was already planning a run on the anniversary of his passing.. he was so proud of my lifestyle changes, it just felt like the right thing to do.
So when I saw the Father's Day challenge was taking place again this year it was just perfect. A 5K event was taking place in the park where is ashes are going to be scattered. It was lovely to run a 5k event with my friends and family taking part as well.
We even had a nice glass of bubbles at the end to give this great man a toast. I knew that he was watching.
My mum has a lovely old photo of my Dad, so the Medal for this run is going to be next to that. This one's for you Dad.
Happy Running and on to the next challenge.
