    So a little update - I know it’s supposed to be weekly, however - I’m now suffering from depression having gotten a stress fracture in my pelvis. I never realised how beneficial the running really was for me, until I couldn’t do it. I’m gutted as at the moment, I’m still in bed rest - definitely no running for a while, and my walking is more like a fast rest. Physio is starting at the end of next week, here’s hoping I’m not out for to long 🤞

  • So my back injury wasn’t actually my back, it was a pulled hamstring - still in a little pain but the physio has said I’m ok to do a short run tonight, ahead of my half Marathon next weekend.
    That runnon the weekend will be jeffed and very slow - but I’ve raised to much in sponsorship not to do it. The fear of letting everyone down is bigger than the fear of hurting me even more!

    I’ve overdone it - had a gentle 5k run on Thursday and have promptly put my back out after I slipped off a kerb - no long run today, and now fully resting ready for a long run next weekend.

    I Need some advice - i think I've started to develop an ITB issue, my hip area on one side is really achy, does anyone have any tips on how to stretch this out properly.

    On a positive note, I managed a very slow 10 miles yesterday - my furthest run ever!

    What a fab week, received my 100k medal, increased my distance by going up a group with my running club, and I’ve started to do ladder training (kind of hill sprints) to help me improve further - 10 mile solo run to come this week, hopefully I’ll manage it!

    I’ve had the dreaded lurgy, my body refused to go. so rest was best for the past week. Hopefully I’m getting out for a short and sweet 5k tomorrow. Back on track got to get those miles up!

    Mixed bag last week - I did my longest run ever, set some lovely pbs, but I’ve not run since - I think I’ve scared myself! Didn’t help that my safety net has been away and unable to track me when I go out, knowing they are local really helps sometimes with my peace of mind!

    I am so chuffed with myself - tonight I compared the distance I’ve covered this month to the same point last year. I’ve just about done the distance for the entire month in 14 days. I actually feel like I might complete this challenge for the first time..
