    I currently weigh 185 lbs, and my goal is to get myself back to 160 lbs by the time that it really starts to feel like fall here in October.

    Switching up my workouts as it seems my weight loss has slowed down a bit, interval running mixed with hula-hooping.

    My shoe is filling nicely and my ‘Mirror,Mirror’ medal arrived

    I had planned on doing a C25K as part of my challenge but decided to try and jeff a 10k without any training!
    After my grandfather passed away I wanted to do something positive in his memory so I signed up to do the British heart foundation Tower of London 10k. I only signed up a week before the event and have never run anything in my life, stupid I know. On the day we were hit with sun, rain & hail but I got round the course by jeffing and finished in 1hr 31mins (Normally takes me 2hrs to walk 10k) I raised over £600 for the British heart foundation in memory of my grandad and I'm a little bit proud of myself!

    Signing off for weekend after this post as Beloved Hubby wants me to have some rest time this afternoon. Personally I don’t think I can cope with the inactivity this will involve but I am (sometimes) a dutiful wife and today I’ll do as he wants.

    This will probably end with me going to bed extremely early in order to avoid the temptation to snack (a big reason I go for very long walks, btw. Can’t eat if you’re nowhere near the food)

    Outdid myself today. I didn’t intend to go for a 6k walk twice today but the weather was so nice today.

  • Had to really push myself to go for a second walk today, despite the nice weather. Kept telling myself “just a bit further” which I don’t normally have to do. But never mind, it’s done now

    Sister-in-law to be’s Hen Do is all booked for 1st June and because it’s on a Saturday, the healthy eating plan goes out the window and I’m having deep fried cheese & relish followed by a steak burger at the restaurant, if that’s not motivating for further weight loss then I don’t know what is!

    This is followed by a cocktail making class (I do love a class where you can drink your mistakes) and karaoke. Sounds like a good night to me 😁

  • Just a quickie wall today as I’m absolutely knackered. I still managed 3k or so but I’m too tired to do anything more. But tomorrow is another day and there will be another opportunity.

    My sister-in-law loved the dress so that’s a bonus ‘cos I’m not returning it.

    Needed one thing to go right today - got soaked on my morning walk, my phone kept pausing the running app without me realising at points, then my earphones decided to run out of juice and just to add a cherry to my day, I got to work and found my supervisor going through my desk because “she thought there were loose notes that someone wanted in there" then she walked away, without apologising for going through my desk, and just left all the stuff she'd pulled out scattered all over my desk for me to clean up.

    Oh well, on the upside, my dress for my brother’s wedding arrived and it’s size 16 and fits! (Needs altering a little bit just so it fits absolutely perfectly) and I managed to push my walk this afternoon a little bit further - to make up for my phone being a jerk!

    Did double the walks today. Just over 10k all together. 5k before work, 5k after work, my legs are aching a bit but nothing a hot bath won’t fix

    It’s wet, it’s windy, I’ve done a full day at work but I’m also feeling fantastic because that’s another 5k under my belt - even though my ponytail is wet and my jacket needs to be put through the dryer.

    Just a quick update today. Easter is over and I’m back on track (even though friends of mine from the children’s ward have given me 3 of their excess Easter eggs)

    Well, this challenge is really working out for me - so far I've lost another 2.5lbs so I'll soon be back down to what I was before November (over two months I gained 13lbs!!) but now thanks to my running & walking combined with my WWs plan, the weight is...not exactly falling off but it's going the right way.

    had a busy week on annual leave. Decorated the house, attended a 'beer, gin & fizz' festival, and somehow going out to get my K's in fell a little bit by the wayside but I'm back on form (more or less) this week.

    Managed a 5k yesterday after work, a 4.43k this afternoon (and that's after a quickie of a 1.31k before work) my feet are a bit sore but it feels great to be out, using my Zombies Run app, getting into the story again. (you have no idea how much I [Runner 5] missed Sam Yeo's voice)

    Whooooooooo-boy, been a little while, eh? Not through neglect! I promise I'm still walking and running as much as I can but the weather, until recently, has been more than a little bit naff and cold, I trust you agree?

    Well, anyway, to make up for it, here's a load of evidence showing that I've kept up and haven't forgotten my challenge

    Weight-loss wise I'm almost back down to what i was before Christmas, so whoo hoo, almost 13lbs gone from my frame. Yay me!

    +2 lb 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😭 Quarter if the way through the year and I am 1lb lighter 🤦🏼‍♀️. My instinct is to give up (that's what I would normally do). But I really want to lose at least some of the 50lb, even if I fail this challenge (although I want the bling) cos I love running and want to be better at it and I know my weight is holding me back. So I'm going to try to just focus on smaller goals for now and may spam this page each day to keep on track x
