    I restarted C25K this week. Seems crazy when I'm doing 10k events, but I lost the ability to run more than a couple of km without walk breaks when I had some medical issues and took a break from running for almost a year, and I've not managed to improve on it. I'm hoping that this will be the kickstart I need. So I ran to work on Tuesday and Friday, and home from work on Wednesday. That's week 1 officially complete, but I plan to stick to week 1 this week as I donated blood on Saturday afternoon and that always knocks me for a while.

    Up to 38 miles after my holiday trip to Isle of Skye - amazing scenery and a much needed break, a fair bit of walking completed too so all in all happy with mileage

    Ill all week, walking made me wheezy, short of breath and cough so I had some enforced rest days. I couldn't run so on parkrunday I managed to walk 6.63 miles - walking to parkrun, setting up parkrun, showing marshals to their positions, tailwalking at parkrun then walking home from parkrun, once I'd processed the results.
    Felt much better after that day so tried a short run, 3.91 miles. Didn't feel my best and struggled with breathing but it was quite humid too so not sure if I'm better or not! Hate being ill!!

    Absolutley manic work at week - our office has 25 staff, and at this time of year we can have up to 7 off (4 on rest weeks, 3 on leave) - but this week we also had 2 on special leave and 2 off sick..... and then a third went off sick on Fri & Sat! Made for some looooong days I cycled to work on Monday, but left the bike there as I didn't have my lights and it was starting to turn to dusk by the time I left. So I walked home Monday, into work Tuesday, and cycled home Tuesday. I then walked the commute the other 4 days, and today I ran a 10k race I entered at the start of the year, and earned myself this medal

    Monday I did really well - 9.75 miles - which was 4.5 miles solo then I met up with Newent Runners who came to Ross to run. However I must have overdone it, as since then I've had a cold and can't even walk without wheezing! Hate being ill!!

    I've been in the Lake District this week, but the weather hasn't been great We set out to attempt the Fairfield Horseshoe on Tuesday, but got driven back by rain and (mostly) wind before we reached the half-way point. Other than that we just did our regular 'nip over to Grasmere' to get some Gingerbread yesterday, when the weather had fortunately perked up a bit.

    The next 3 weeks are working weeks (and I have a 10k run booked in for next Sunday), so hopefully I can add some commute and running mileage to my totals - although it's looking like I'm cycling to work tomorrow so I can go shopping at a 'not so local' store straight from work, so that won't count!

    First few days of September and 9 miles in, weather and exams taking their toll this week but just plugging away!! Off to the Ayr Go Festival to cheer on friends running in the half marathon so should get a mile or two in myself while they are out on the course ‏ — feeling great

    Busy running week this week! Bank holiday run in the heat 6.45 miles and then a 6.44 miles run on Weds in the rain.Saturday was finally my chance to run at our parkrun, event 5, 3.15 miles - so great being on "that side" for a change rather than rd/timekeeping/scanning etc etc. Finally Ross 10k on Sunday - 1 hour 2 mins which was much quicker than I was expecting as I seem to be slowing down!

    Been really rubbish at posting lately, but have still been running.... I am at 734 miles for the year, still a little bit behind target but hoping as the weather cools down I can up the mileage a little bit..... 476 miles to go!
