Every year I go through the same routine. New years day "I'm going to lose weight!", 6 months in "I'll start now" and then December the 1st "oh well it's nearly Christmas I'll start in January". Well this year this challenge is going to change that. I aim to lose on average 1lb a week across the whole year so 52lbs (I'm currently around 14.5 to 15 stones. On top of this and to aid this I'm going to aim to run on average 6.214 miles (10km) a week. (I currently run about 4 if I'm lucky!). This isn't going to be easy but the regular updates I'll post will keep me motivated!

I've just not had the motivation this last 7 days since coming back off holiday. Whether it's been the past holiday blues or just being tired after being away and getting back to work, I've struggled this week. I did manage to cover 3.91 miles so I'm happy to have finally made a little dent in my mileage. Unfortunately my weight has stayed the same, still 204.4. This is obviously disheartening but this is why I did this challenge. Without this challenge I'd have quit now and said "I'll start next Monday" or "I'll start in February". But with this challenge I feel I have an obligation to continue and push through this bad patch for the community. This challenge will only get harder so I need to take hold of it now and really start getting myself motivated. Here's to the next positive 7 days! ‏ — feeling tired

My 2nd week post seems to have disappeared. The post was just a quick update to say I covered 1.56 miles in running and I lost 1lb. Photo is attached for distance covered.

So I'm back from Iceland time to get this challenge back on. No extra miles covered but I am down now to 204.4 which means nearly another pound lost, but this is where it really starts!

So the year has started and my 2019 with in has begun. I weighed in at 206.2lbs. so with the aim of losing 52 lbs in the year my target weight come the end of the year is 154.2, which if I could reach that would be incredible as that was my weight when I was at my prime. It's going to be a hard long slug but I think if I keep the 10km a week target going then it should all come together nicely. Here goes.....
