My challenge is to run regularly throughout 2019 and to run at least 260 km. in 2018 I managed 148 km and a big part of why it wasn't more is because of how sporadically I hit the pavement. If I run 260 km by running regularly it averages out to 5 km a week.

    That alarm worked, didn't it? So last week I closed out February with my first paid race entry to oulton park, and I finished in 50.18. Not the PB I was hoping for but it could be worse. People were so nice and although it was soaking wet I got a nice medal out of it. This week it was snowing, hailing, raining, and all round unplesant so we went to the gym. I'm not a big fan of the tredmill, in fact I thought I hated running before I ran outside. So I managed 2.65km, half of what I was aiming for. February was a good month, I managed 25km, and my year total is now 56km. Thats nearly a 5th of the way to my target! Next week will be interesting exercise wise, because I have hired a personal trainer with a view to lower my PB by about 10 minutes. Watch this space!

    I forgot to post again last week, but I've set an alarm now so I remember. Last week I did a 5k with RachMc1984 and my husband. This week I was actually not working a shift this Saturday so I managed to squeeze in a parkrun yesterday and a 5k today. The miles are adding up. Next week I am at Oulton Park to run a 5k.

    Guess who forgot to post last week? If you guess me you get a (virtual) medal. I've managed to get out both last Sunday and today, and I've updated my tracker.

    My January total is 28.04 km which is a respectable total and puts me slightly ahead of my target. My placement means I can only get out once a week for now but hopefully that will change in the near future, and I'll be able to get out more coinciding with the warmer weather.

    A slow and chilly 5k with RachMc1984 this week gave me my 5 kilometres. And I pushed myself and run 2 miles without stopping. 22.5km so far this year, so I'm still ahead of myself by half a run, but I'm going to struggle to get out next weeknight placement and appointments. Here to nothing occurring next Sunday, and for a nice long run then.

    I didn't make my 5k this week, at least, not running. I managed 2.5 k before it got too dark to see today after work and a gloriously frosty 8k walk with my friend on Thursday. And I managed that 2.5k without dropping into a walk, which is huge for me. While it's not as far as I would have liked I still managed to get out and move, so I hit that bit of my goal

    A windy run with my husband and a friend using my new garmin gets me my 5k for this week. Unfortunately it lost it early on and so it's down as two runs.

    That's 15k so far this year and still on target to run every week.

    Week one and I'm well on track! I did parkrun yesterday and then did the route again today for a total of 10k this week. I also made a handy little tracker to visualise my progress this year too. I'm looking forward to see this fill up.
