Run 1500 miles by the end on 2019.
I have been running for 2 years now. 1st year 727 miles ran. Last year I ran 1080 miles and my first marathon. This year I’m super excited to be running London Marathon in April, got a club place in the draw and I want to push my miles to 1500, if that’s possible??? My big challenge for 2019. I have worked out I need an average of 29 miles per week. I always log my miles on Strava and I will be working hard.

31 steady miles last week, 967 in total for the year so far. A couple of solo runs in the rain, a club run, helped out at transition group training up for a 10k and a 10 mile social run yesterday on the Portreath Trail that starts at our local beach 😊

30 miles ran in total this week and I took part in the The RAT running festival out on the Roseland in Cornwall on Saturday. I did the 20 mile distance all out on the South West Coast Path, pretty much all hills and steps. Never ran a coastpath event before, I was nervous, but I absolutely loved it. I will be returning next year and I am thinking of the 32 mile distance as my first ultra. Sore quads today, but love my medal and I am still buzzing.

32 miles clocked up this week and I ran Indian Queens Half Marathon yesterday and got an 11 minute course PB from last year 😊. I’m going to take a few rest days this week as I’m gearing up to run The RAT 20 across the Roseland coast path on Saturday and that is going to be a tough challenge for me. Hope everyone has a great week 😊 x

Another 35 miles in the bag this week. Mainly 5/6 mile runs including the first race of this years Cornwall Grand Prix Multi Terrain Series last night, Tywardreath Trotter - 7 miles off road & got a PB of 2m 29s from last year. Next weekend I’m running Indian Queens Half Marathon a race from the road series. Happy running everyone 😊👍

35.4 miles this week. I helped a friend finish the couch 2 5k program this week and we ran her first park run together on Saturday, did my long coastpath run which I previously posted about, a few short runs and a social club breakfast run today. ‏ — feeling happy

Managed my longest coast path run yesterday 18.2 miles in preparation for The RAT in August. Ran from Perranuthnoe to Porthleven and back. The coastline in Cornwall is absolutely stunning! Suffering today, but really pleased to get my miles and be out there on such a beautiful day!

35 miles last week, another mix of coastpath and road. Enjoyed my miles particularly an unexpected 10 mile coastpath run on Friday with my husband and a run with a friend who has just completed her couch to 5k journey and managed to run just over 4 miles on a single run on Sunday. ‏ — feeling happy

Great week of running, 35 miles in total. That takes my total to 733 miles so far at the half way point this year. Challenge set for 1500, so only 17 miles behind as should be on 750 today. Boconnoc race on Tuesday, a lovely coastpath run on Thursday and a Trail Race today at Pentewan, plus some shorter runs.

Bit short on miles this week. Only managed to get up to 26. Mainly due to spending the weekend in hospital with one of my daughters after an accident outside involving a heavy drain grate. She ended up having an op on her foot 🤦‍♀️. Home now and doing well. At the end of this week it’s the half way point on the challenge, so then I can see how many miles I’m behind and make a plan to catch them up. Think it will only be about 20 - 25 😊. 5 mile race tomorrow night Multi Terrain to complete my series.

Meet Your Max 2019 race tonight. Never done a race like that before! 😱 Got the t shirt 😊, loved it & hated it, slippy, slidey, dunky, wet fun. Pretty pleased with that, as those things are usually a no no for me! I enjoyed it tonight 😊

A good weeks running for me this week, 31.6 miles & I conquered a 12.5 mile coast path run within that as training for RAT 20 in August. Need to work a bit more on distance, strength & speed leading up to the big day. I’m finding the coastpath a challenge, but i will get there!

Coast to Coast Half Marathon yesterday with my husband for this week, plus club runs, helping out with couch 2 5k, Trail Kids and some catch up miles. 37.2 altogether this week. Really enjoyed my running this week. I love running with all different people 😊

Maintenance miles this week for me, no races. Highlight of the week was my daughter Kady getting her 25 mile award at Trail Kids on Sunday. Up to 609 miles so far this year and should be aiming to be on 750 at the end of June, so I may the first half of the year slightly behind, we will see 🤔. Running a Half Marathon race on Saturday with my husband from one coast to another. Will let you know how it goes. Happy running everyone 😊

Completed 21 miles last week, a little bit under target but legs recovering from last week’s race. Got out on the coastpath for 8 miles as I start to prepare for the RAT 20 in August and did two runs with a friend working her way through the couch to 5k program and a club run. Need to start upping my miles again this week though, so I don’t get behind. 578 miles so far this year. 😊

Imerys Half Marathon for me today, part of the Multi Terrain Series. 1st race after London & felt strong and loved it, even though off road is not usually my thing. My husband even ran it too! 30 miles in the bag this week. ‏ — feeling happy

On a break away with my family this weekend, so just 3 miles in the sunshine this morning crammed in before brekkie and swimming. 16.5 miles in total this week, a lot less than I’m used to after all the marathon training, but my body needed some rest. Getting stuck back in next week and got a half marathon race next Sunday. Need to workout if I’m still on track for 1500 miles this year, will look into this when I’m back home in Tuesday😊 and make a plan to make sure I will make it 👍
