The general aim to to loose at least 50lbs (more would be amazing) by decreasing my dependence on sugar and processed foods. I start January 1st so wish me luck!

Alongside this I am aiming to run my first full 10k this year. This on its own is a huge challenge for me as I currently can’t even run upstairs!! I am really looking forward to getting involved with running as I am hopeful that it may ease some of my mental health issues and really give me some mini goals to a for along the way.

The biggest incentive for all of this however is a trip to my favourite place on Earth, Disneyworld. The perfect place to celebrate with my family and enjoy the new me!!

    Hi all, So it's been a while since I checked in last and we have been hit by the New Year bug in our house and so my running was put on hold.

    However... the last 4 days have been amazing. I re-started Couch to 5k on Sunday and have done it everyday since! I am technically supposed to take a rest day in between sessions but I am getting up almost 2 hours earlier than usual desperate to get my trainers on, so I figured I would just roll with it! I already feel more energised and am looking forward to having my first official weigh in tomorrow, so I can update you on how well the 50lb loss is going so far. I am hopping for 7lbs but we will see!!

    With all my hard work this week I have managed to submit my first lot of evidence for my first 5K medal!!!! I can't wait until it arrives so I can hang it next to my treadmill, hopefully the shiny new addition will give me a boost when I start to struggle. Now which medal to pick next???

    Happy New Year to you all!!!

    And what a start I’ve had. As you know I did intend on starting Couch to 5k on Boxing Day but we were delayed coming back home so I ended up waiting until today. It was worth the wait though. I am absolutely exhausted but feel elated. Why did I wait to start for so long? Looking forward to my second session later in the week and I am looking ahead to earning my first medal. I’m coming for you!! ‏ — feeling happy

    Good Morning you lovely lot! So today marks the first of many days for me where I am trying to plan and forward think for the start of my 2019 challenge. The main aim is weight loss, at least 50lbs to be exact which sounds super scary but I know I can do it. Secondly I will be starting the Couch to 5k program in the New Year and at the moment this fills me with dread. I am worried about injury, and frankly just not being able to move. This is probably the biggest change I am looking forward to, the improvements with my body and being able to go the distance. Let’s get the festive season over and done with and then focus for that 50!! ‏ — feeling great
