2019 will be the year for running. Having suffered with plantar fasciitis for the past 3 months I need to increase my distance slowly. I am signed up for the MOR medals so running a 1000km is already there as a challenge.
I have to average 84km to complete the 1000k, my furthest distance in a month has been 68km so I have a short way to go.
So with that in mind.......
My challenge is to run a greater distance each month than the previous month, with January starting at a minimum of 70km.

16th February and all is not going well, just 38.4k done of a minimum of 81.
11k completed last Sunday in the rain, I stupidly decided that it was warm enough to run in a t-shirt.... Wrong!! My arms were numb by the time I got home. 🤭🤭
Another 5k done during the week.
    Battling illness, cough, snot, shivers.
Trail run tomorrow, 10k, medal and a jacket potato at the end..... I know which one I'm looking forward to the most! 😋😋

Have a good week and I'll check in soon. Hopefully less snottier!

Not much to report. Did the London Winter Run 10k on Sunday, great fun, good atmosphere. Something special about running along closed roads of London.
Think I may struggle to get my mileage in this month. Only 23.7k done this week as I've had my shifts changed at work. Planning an 11 for Sunday but won't be able to go out before then.
On a lighter note, the 23.7k completed my 100k medal.

Made it through January, one month down, eleven to go! Finished January on 80.7km. A little more than I had planned and 13 more than December.
February will be difficult timewise, there's a school holiday right on my running week so the plan is to get as much done as possible in the first week and then get out when I can.
I'm doing the London Winter 10k on Sunday and have a local 10k trail run on the 17th so I've only got another 61k to find after that to beat January!

Ok, time for that update. January has been a good month, I did the virtual run to the National Running Show. 59 miles completed between the 21st December and the 19th January, I don't think I realised just how many kilometres 59 miles was until after I'd committed myself! So because I'd ran to the show I'd just about done my January distance. I haven't ran much in the past 10 days but went out with my friend and her pony yesterday. 8 kilometers of muddy fields and tracks, and it was icy too. Good fun but very slow going!
Good to meet MedalMad at the Running Show too, the Soreen went down well and I bought some leggings that came with a free mirror, mirror medal! I definitely earned that medal yesterday through the icy fields! 😂😂
Two medal's earnt in January, Eat, Sleep, Run, Repeat 50k and New Year, new unicorn.
As it stands at the moment my distance for January is 67.9km, I've beaten my furthest distance! Have got a run planned for Sunday though so will increase that further before I start all over again in February with a new high score to beat. 👍👍
