Last year I set myself the target of running 500km, i didnt complete this target. Near the end quarter of the year I gave up. I had a few injuries throughout the year but I was still on target. Then my head just went and I lost all willingness to run at all, in October I then broke my foot which ended my year of running completely.

This year I am not going to let myself give up. I am aiming for 1000km distance for all activities and hopefully 750km of those will be running. I will be better this year. New year and new decade. This will be my year to prove to myself that I can push past the mental block and the physical pain and achieve what I thought was unachievable.

This is my 2020 challenge to myself.

    So i have been quiet recently as I had an opearation and so havent been running. Just to do with my lack of kidney function so im all good now, I have decided to venture into the world of zwift! I borrowed a device from my running group (The Lonely Goats) and I actually loved it that much i bought my own device the second time i used it. Its really different and I really think it will get me back into running again. I was so dissapointed that after my surgery in feb I was unable to run. HOWEVER game on. The past is the past and i am gping to not dwell on my not running. I am going to focus on getting those kms in. I have been cycling to work everyday and home and afyer my op (which was in my arm) I was walking to work.

    The best thing about being classed as being "extremely vulnerable" by the government is I now have 12 weeks to focus on getting my running back on form. Luckily I have a treadmill at home. And potentially I will be on full pay also which is a massive relief. I noticed that my fitness is completely gone and I must get it back. Im going to try and see where this zwift takes me. Im hoping it takes me back to where I was fitness wise before my op.
