Diary of an everyday lackluster mother

So...i finally decided to get off my arse and start losing weight and gaining better overall fitness. I have tried the gym but got bored as I never really went anywhere. I tried plain walking around but would lose enthusiasm. I saw Medal Mad on facebook today and thought it would be a good thing to have a go at. After all I remember trying so hard at school sports day because I so wanted that crappy little sticker you got for coming 1st, 2nd or 3rd. 

I'm not ashamed to admit i love dinosaurs so chose the 10km run from Extinction. And you know what, i went to a nearby field and walked twice round it. I only meant to do it once but i looked at my distance when nearing the end and was like no, i want that number higher and closer to my goal. 

I have never been a fan of exercise so maybe instead i will allow the child in me to come out fully and get as many medals as i like the look of. The weight loss/higher fitness can be the side effects. 

How this all ends only time will tell....but everyone has to start somewhere and at least I have begun.
