MedalMad are delighted to host this challenge on behalf of LABRATS CIC. 100% of the profits from this challenge go to LABRATS CIC, read more about them below. Challenge must be completed between the 25th of April and the 11th of July. Please note there is a known spelling error in the medal. LABRATS represents all individuals across the world who have been affected by the Atomic Testing program. We are one big family, connected together with one common bond. Our Education, Recognition and Awareness program is a new ERA for the community.
The Atomic family, includes Veterans, descendants, indigenous people and organisations that represent all aspects of the Atomic tests. Thousands of people have been affected by the tests, and there are many organisations across the world representing these people. LABRATS brings all of these organisations together in one place.
2022 is the 70th anniversary of Operation Hurricane, Britain's first atomic test in the Montebello Islands in Western Australia. It is also the 60th anniversary of Operation Dominic, a joint US/UK operation on Christmas Island in 1962.
How to complete a Virtual Challenge?
MedalMad challenges can be completed by running, walking, swimming, cycling, rolling, rowing or using cardio equipment at home or in the gym. You can break down the challenge into smaller parts and track your challenge as you go.
Once you have joined the virtual challenge you will find an upload/submission section in your My Challenges page on the website and app.
You can upload images of tracking apps, race results, images of dashboards on cardio equipment, images of a running or fitness watch or use the MedalMad basic tracker.
